What To Watch On TV: Thursday Edition

TV Shows
30 Rock @ 8:30pm
It's full steam ahead for NBC's Thursday lineup, with all four lauded laughers (My Name Is Earl, 30 Rock, The Office and Scrubs) settling in after the writers' strike. Tonight on Rock, it's full throttle for New York's mysterious "Subway Hero," a hot do-gooder who prevented a terrible train accident — and Jack wants him booked on the show. The hero turns out to be none other than Liz's ex-flame, Dennis (Dean Winters), who sets out to win back Liz's heart. In other events, Jack futilely searches for a hip Republican celebrity. The only person who emerges: ancient 1940s TV star Bucky Bright (Tim Conway).

Survivor: Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites @ 8pm
Ozzy's fake immunity idol backfired on him last week when it was played by Eliza and she promptly informed everyone that Ozzy has the real one. Now, Cirie, who is perhaps playing the shrewdest game of anyone, is out to oust Ozzy or at least force him to play the idol. Also, one player sacrifices immunity to win over some allies. As for this week's reward challenge, the castaways compete to indulge in a feast and see a show on Micronesia's Yap Island. Now, that's a reward worth playing for.

The Office @ 9pm
A picture says a thousand words. In Michael Scott's case, some of those words are obsession, lust, infatuation, fascination, desire, passion and excitement. Here, Dunder Mifflin's chief dunderhead grows overly consumed with a woman modeling a chair in an office-supply catalog. Great Scott! The googly-eyed Michael is way too distracted to know that a nasty turf war is heating up in the office park, as some staffers set out to reclaim their pilfered parking spaces.

Scrubs @ 9:30pm
Long proud and comfortable with their unique brand of "man love," J.D. and Turk suddenly find themselves fretting over their masculinity. J.D. wants to set a good example for his son while Turk battles insecurity after a surgery makes him feel less manly. As expected, Dr. Cox's thoughts on the matter send J.D. spiraling, but the confidence-crushing doc gets a taste of his own medicine from the Janitor. When Kelso insists no one listens to him, the Janitor starts a hospital newspaper, and the main article proves to be a thorn in Dr. Cox's side.
