Dance Machine @ 8pm
It's summertime and we got dance fever! Series premiere of yet another dance competition show featuring contestants from all — and we mean ALL — walks of life, facing off against each other as unlikely competitors. Each episode features six real people competing in a series of one-on-one dance-offs to the most popular songs of all time. You might root for a 70-year-old grandmother one night and a 25-year-old gravedigger another. But which hoofer has what it takes to win? Throughout the course of each episode contestants will be eliminated by voters in the studio audience, leaving just two finalists left to challenge each other for the honor of being crowned that night's "Dance Machine" and the chance to take home the $100,000 cash prize.
Duel @ 9pm
After a bit of a hiatus, this adrenaline-pumping, high-stakes competition game show returns for week six. Competitors find themselves in intense head-to-head matches, reacting quickly under pressure and forced to use both brains (does he know the right answer?) and nerves (can she put her money where her mouth is?) to outsmart their opponents. At the end of the ten weeks, only one contestant will prove he or she has what it takes to walk away the $500,000 grand prize.
Doctor Who? @ 9pm
Despite his professed knowledge of fixed points in history ("The Fires of Pompeii"), it seems that even our favorite time traveler can get tripped up sometimes. The look on the Doctor's face is best described as priceless when River Song reveals she met him before — but also not yet — in the emotional conclusion of the two-part tale.
Meerkat Manor: The Next Generation @ 9pm
Rocket Dog's ascendance to alpha female of the Whiskers is sealed by her pregnancy — and her confidence as a leader is given a big boost, too — but sister Sophie is still a thorn in her side. Sophie, it seems, had a conjugal visit from a roving male, and she may also be in the family way. But as fate would have it, Sophie injures herself while out foraging for food and is left behind by the clan, who may ostracize her permanently if she doesn't shape up.
