Thursday is going to be a hot hot hot night for television. There are fresh new shows and old established favorites to keep you tuned to the tube. Let's get right into it......
Ugly Betty @ 8pm
This is has definitely been America Ferrera's year. She received a plethora of awards including the coveted Emmy award for Best Comedic Actress. She should have won sexiest women of the year but perhaps America isn't ready for a plus sized beauty with talent. Check out tonight as Henry is upset by Betty's foray into online dating, which results in a rendezvous at a bowling alley; Daniel and Alexis prepare for dinner with Wilhelmina; Hilda is oblivious to Justin's new friends; Marc is smitten with a photographer.
30 Rock @ 8:30pm
Here's another Emmy winner for Best Comedic show. Let's call it an Emmy night! Funny girl and mastermind Tina Fey has done it again. Watch as Liz hires her idol, Rosemary Howard (Carrie Fisher), to be a guest writer on the show, but Rosemary's radical ideology causes much friction. Meanwhile, Jack takes Tracy to a therapist; and Kenneth's job is jeopardized.
Grey's Anatomy @ 9pm
If you would have read this last week I planned to drop the bomb on GA. It would have went something like this....bring Washington back, missing Addison, boring new season, will Derrick and Grey ever get it together, and who cares about these new interns blah blah blah. It was as if the GA gods heard me and answered with last week's episode. The almost fight between Izzy and Callie; and then the new flirtatious friendship between Derrick and Grey's sister aka No. 3 was making me salivate at the mouth. Thanks to good writing on Shonda's part has brought the show back on top. Watch tonight where Halloween is a day of surprises (both good and bad) for the doctors of Seattle Grace: Alex receives an unexpected visit from Ava/Rebecca (Elizabeth Reaser); Meredith is convinced that her mother's ashes are haunting her; Cristina is snubbed by a surgeon she admires. And hopefully Callie will dump you know who to the curb!
Also on tonight...Keeping up with the Kardashians @ 8pm
Catch up on your viewing by checking out the new scenester Keeping up with the Kardashians starring the beauty with the body/booty socialite Kim Kardashian. The Armenian community would have been delighted to see they are being represented on TV. But hold the phone, this is not your traditional Armenian household. The Hollywood meets the Brady Bunch family has it's own dose of true American dysfunction. The first episode came full of controversy enough to kick off its new season. As liberal as I may be, I have to admit there was something very unsettling about seeing Kim's little baby sister work the stripper pole like a pro. This shocked and disgusted many moms across TV land. As long as she sees it as a fun gymnastics bar instead of a stripper pole, well I suppose it's not too bad. And let's not forget the infamous sex tape. I admit the very risqué tape Kim made with her then boyfriend Ray J was embarrassing. He betrayed her trust and according to Kim, he was the source that leaked the tape. Having said all this, when she appeared on Tyra Banks show to discuss it, she was full of shame. She would better handle it and help put it behind her if she was more assertive. I would have told Tyra, "Look I made the tape when I was in a committed relationship. There is nothing wrong with having some fun with your monogamous partner, in fact I think it's healthy for your relationship. The only regret I have is not keeping the only copy in my hands to prevent betrayers from releasing it to the public." Paris and Nick Lachey put her on the map and the tape gave her publicity that led to this show. Every cloud has its silver lining. Enough said...what do you think??
