Shia LaBeouf and Andy Samberg put together a little promo video to get us to tune into SNL this weekend when Shia hosts, and My Morning Jacket is the musical guest. As we've said with previous videos, this is only funny because we're tired and it's Friday. Somehow, it makes you want to Tivo SNL though.

This is such awful news! The father of SNL alum Cheri Oteri was killed over the weekend in Nashville. The police have arrested country songwriter Richard Fagan for stabbing him to death. The two were roommates. Cheri has been informed of her father's death.

It good to see Ashton Kutcher hasn't lost his sense of humor over dating Demi Moore, who is 15 years older than he is. He guest hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend and did a skit with Cameron Diaz. One of our favorite Saturday Night Live alums is out of work. Rachel Dratch recently said she doesn't have much going on in terms of her career. How is that possible?! Janet Jackson was supposed to appear on SNL this weekend, but she got the flu and ended up in the hospital. She has since canceled her appearance. Mariah Carey has reportedly replaced Janet Jackson as a musical guest appearing on "SNL" this weeken. Which one of those ladies would you rather see?

Ellen Page did a skit on SNL this weekend, and now everyone thinks she's a lesbian. We'd heard the rumors, but Ellen's totally the type to just do a skit like this to mess with everyone. It's pretty clear who the cast of Saturday Night Live wants for president. Senator Hillary Clinton. Saturday's new show started with a skit parodying the most recent Democratic debate. Amy Poehler played Hillary and Fred Armison played a very funny Barack Obama. In the skit, they tried to portray that Hill is asked more difficult questions than Obama. Saturday Night Live is coming back, and they're going for four straight weeks of new shows, which they haven't done since 1976.  The normal pattern for the show is three weeks on, one week off.
