They say that politics is show business for ugly people, but given the impressive ratings that presidential debates have racked up on the news channels lately (and given the strike-depleted larder of original programming), Barack, Hillary, John, Mike, Mitt and Ron must be looking prettier and prettier to harried network programmers.
Witness ABC clearing its prime-time decks - during sweeps, no less - to cover today's primaries and caucuses in 24 states. Real reality TV, all evening. CNN, MSNBC, the Fox News Channel and C-Span will also be on the story, all night; many PBS stations will have two hours of coverage, starting at 10 pm/ET; CBS also plans on two hours, starting at 9 pm/ET; and NBC currently has an hour slotted at 10 pm/ET.
Oh and don't forget to go out and vote today!!!!
