Say Goodbye to Jay Leno

Jay Leno
Say adios to Jay Leno because NBC just announced that his last Tonight Show taping will be Friday, May 29. Conan O'Brien will officially take over Jay's time-slot on Monday, June 1.

Jimmy Fallon will take over Conan's seat for the late show in March or April of 2009.

"I hope to make it the best show and a great show for everyone to choose me to fall asleep during," said Fallon.

There won't be any changes for almost a year so take in all the Jay you can handle in the meanwhile. Conan certainly has big shoes to fill. Do you think he can handle it?

I AM SO SAD TO THINK OF JAY LENO LEAVING THE TONIGHT SHOW. I HOPE HE HAS ANOTHER SHOW ON ANOTHER NETWORK. IN MY OPINION, HE IS THE NEXT BEST TO JOHNNY CARSON. I BELIEVE NBC HAS MADE A HUGE MISTAKE. WHAT DO OTHERS THINK?

Jay Leno was the perfect replacement for Johnny. We older generation appreciate his humor and his kindness towards his guests. He and Craig Ferguson are the top late night leaders. NBC will gain the younger generation that likes Conan and I guess the boomers will be going to bed early. I left TV for 5 years and just got the basics recently because of Jay Leno...I guess I can turn it off again as there will be nothing to watch after May 29th... No matter what, Jay, you are the man...go to Vegas and we will come there to see you. Make a hideous amount of money, buy a time slot on Public tv and we will come back...
