Say adios to Jay Leno because NBC just announced that his last Tonight Show taping will be Friday, May 29. Conan O'Brien will officially take over Jay's time-slot on Monday, June 1.
Jimmy Fallon will take over Conan's seat for the late show in March or April of 2009.

Kathy Griffin Wants to Kill LC from the Hills

Kathy Griffin made a pit stop on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night where she expressed her hatred for The Hills and Lauren Conrad in particular. She basically asked Jay if it was illegal for her to say she wanted to kill LC, to which Jay replied "I think she's the only exception."

Talk show king Jay Leno is still under fire by Gay Rights activists for asking Ryan Phillippe to give him his "gayest look" during an interview back in March 08.
Leno is ready to put the comment behind him and do some damage control. He's signed up to appear at a gay marriage celebration and rally in West Hollywood this coming Thursday (June 5), alongside Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight.

Jay Leno is still the King of late night, with or without writers. Leno's rating have actually risen by 11% since the strike went into effect. They're also up 54% from their level during the first two months of the strike.

Writers Strike Helping Ratings

Who knew a Writers Strike would help ratings? Last night Jay Leno, David Letterman and Conan O'Brien came out of hibernation and decided to go back to work.
Leno returned without his writers and decided to write his own jokes, which raked in a 5.3 rating after two months off earning him his best ratings in two years, according to Nielsen Media Research. Leno's ratings were up 47 percent over what he achieved before the strike.
