Britney's performance of the year (no, we're not talking about her VMA performance) won't be earning her a spot in the Emmy race after all. She did make the preliminary list for consideration for her cameo role on How I Met Your Mother, but it looks like it's not deserving of a golden statue quite yet. Maybe she'll have to keep reprising her role next season to get in contention for the next show!

Britney Spears' cameo on 'How I Met Your Mother' was such a huge success that rumors started to fly that she was in talks to return to the CBS’ hit comedy show.
