Katherine Heigl won't be winning any Emmys this year. She's taken herself out of the race for this year.
She says, "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention."
"In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials."
Wow! That's pretty big of her. Katherine has always been known to speak her mind on any subject matter, be it Isaiah Washington's racist comments that forced him off Grey's, or her stance on Knocked Up being "sexist." But as Katherine says herself, "I always tell it like it is."
