ABC Is Quick To Pick Up Next Season's Shows

Grey's Anatomy

ABC is the first to start picking up shows for next season. It's a good position for them to be in if the strike does in fact end this Wednesday. Among the series gearing up for a new year will be veterans "Brothers & Sisters," "Desperate Housewives," "Grey's Anatomy," "Lost" and "Ugly Betty." Newer shows "Dirty Sexy Money," "Private Practice" and "Pushing Daisies," as well as sitcom "Samantha Who?" are set to come back too.

"The strength of our schedule this fall was unprecedented and speaks for itself," said Stephen McPherson, president of ABC Entertainment. "We're looking forward to building on that success."
