Barbara Walters' Special "The 10 Most Fascinating People" airs tonight on ABC. And don't expect it to be celebrity-ridden. Walters says she tired of the tabloid addiction of late, and wants to return to real journalism.
The special will apparently skip Britney, Paris, and Lindsay, and focus on more influential people, such as former President Bill Clinton, Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, two founders of the Internet network "My Space," and controversial radio host Don Imus.
Barbara was the first female U.S. network news anchor 30 years ago, has interviewed every U.S. president since Richard Nixon and other heads of state. More recently, though, she's been doing the "soft" celebrity interviews, and getting criticized for it. Seems like she wants to get back to her roots.
Yeah, I agree, Barbara. Leave the celebrity interviews to your girls at Hollyscoop. We got it from here.
