American Idol Recap

American Idol
With recent news of David Archuleta's dad being banned from backstage, and the pressure of not one, but three songs performed, the mood was intense. Makes me wonder if Cookie being crowned the winner of last night's round had anything to do with AI backlash at David A's camp. Very possible. Although David A's song choices and performances were typical and a bit boring at times. Simon had agreeable comments including the lyrics were too gooey on one and not very age appropriate. It's true lil David seems like an old man at times with the ballads he does. Most likely with the direction of Simon's respected critique, David should perform songs to the liking of Jonas Brothers etc.

David Cook dubbed 'cookie' by Simon, hit his best note on his last performance. But first lets just say we love the new nickname! Simon is definitely showering the love. Ryan even made a  vague gay joke aimed at Simon. We live for this sort of stuff! Cookie's rendition of Roberta Flack's love song was, indeed, original, sweet, soft, and at the end, rockin' hot.  And how awesome was the shot of his mom standing up during the whole song with tears in her eyes. the family for him has been so sweet! Randy thought Simon should have picked a more rockin' song, but that he could sing anything. Simon just wanted to throw a curveball. What a game!

Lastly, our little trooper Syesha has kept hanging in there and shown so much heart. Simon thought her best moment was last week with the Sam Cooke song, and that nothing this week made her stand apart from the others. It's true, but mostly because the battle of the two Davids was decided long ago. Syesha was a bit too slow to progress and bloomed just a tad too late in the game. We shall bid farewell to her tonight....but she will always have Broadway!!

They Promised The Moon, The Stars, And Heaven Above. And just like Charlie Brown I got a rock. As a songwriter who's parents were songwriters, like them I write because I love it. It's never been about the money. But when the NUMBER ONE SHOW ON TELEVISION says they're looking for some amateur to write the Next Great American Idol Finale Song. Wow! The first thing that crossed my mind was.....MILLIONS! Millions of people. Millions of cd's. Millions of dollars. Millions. I'm betting I'm not the only one.......of Millions. It's Time For Some Answers! This is the second year in a row that American Idol has had a songwriting contest. Since the contest ended last year I've researched the contestants from last year and this year....FYI there were over 25,000 entries last year at $10.00 for each song. 20 songs were then chosen out of the 25,000 for an online vote. The winner's song is then performed on the American Idol Finale. The problem I have is that one of THIS years Top 20 Finalist is a Co-writer of LAST years Top 20 Winner. Somebody from American Idol has some explaining to do. If you want proof of fraud. americanidolexposed.weebly.com
